Mission Statement
It is our mission as Health Ministries Committee to identify parish health needs and to promote whole person health with spiritual guidance.
Services
Beth Walters, RN, our Parish Nurse, is available to provide education and limited nursing services, e.g. blood pressure checks. She also keeps us informed regarding local events/clinics that may enhance the health of our parishioners.
Role of the Parish Nurse
Health Educator: Plans classes, seminars, and conferences stressing preventive health, disease prevention, end-of-life issuses and spiritual care specific to the needs of church members.
Referral Resource: Serves as liaison between church memers and community resources.
Personal Health Counselor: Offers opportunities for confidential discussions about personal health concerns.
Interpreter of Relationship Between Faith and Health: Emphasizes the interrelationship of faith, lifestyle, attitudes and health.
Trainer of Volunteers: Organizes support groups within the congregation and recruits, trains and supervises colunteers to engage in healing ministry.

Episcopal Health Ministries
The Episcopal Health Ministries educates leaders for Episcopal health ministry and parish nursing. They support those engaged in health ministry in Episcopal congregations through membership opportunities; provide resources to local congregations, diocese and provinces; and collaborates with other faith communities, institutions and health organizations
eMinistry
The eMinistry Network develops and offers teleclasses (classes held on the telephone, with online notes, links and resources) on a wide range of ministry topics for lay people and clergy of the Episcopal Church and other denominations.
Health Ministries Association
Health Ministries Association (HMA) is an interfaith membership organization, serving those who serve in health ministry. The mission of HMA is to encourage, support and develop whole-person ministries leading to the integration of faith and health.
International Parish Nurse Resource Center
The International Parish Nurse Resource Center (IPNRC) promotes the development of quality parish nurse programs through research, education, and consultation. The IPNRC curriculum forms the basis of educational offerings from National Episcopal Health Ministries.
National Episcopal Church Women's
Episcopal Church Women's purpose is to assist the women of the Church in carrying out Christ's work of reconciliation in the world and to take their place as leaders in the life, governance and worship in the Episcopal Church.
Recovery Ministries of the Episcopal Church, Inc.
Recovery Ministries is an independent, nationwide network of Episcopal laity and clergy, dioceses and parishes, schools, agencies, and other institutions—all with a common commitment to address the use and misuse of alcohol and other drugs in relation to the church's mission.
