St. Alban's Community Garden

"Serving the Hixson Area since 2005"

The earth has yielded its increase. God, our God, has blessed us. May God continue to bless us. Let all the ends of the earth revere him.

Psalm 67: 6-7

The St. Alban's Community is dedicated to encouraging stewardship of our fragile earth by growing vegetables organically.  Gardeners at varying stages of the learning curve work and learn together to create beautiful and healthful food.  The garden is opened to all interested people in the surrounding community.

Our garden consists of 40 raised beds varying in size form 4' x 4' to 4' x 12'.  A minimal fee is charged each year to cover the cost of water.  Tools are available for use, but gardeners provide seeds, plants, and stakes for their individual plots. Gardeners must abide by the rules of the garden. We are handicapped accessible and have restroom use.

The community garden supports eating fresh, locally grown food and the appreciation of the source of the food we eat.

Unused produce will be donated to the Chattanooga Food Bank and distributed to our community.

We will be in this year's Chattanooga Food Bank Garden Tour on June 4th and 5th.  Come and visit us.
